Recent American Idol winner Abi Carter announced her first performance, “No Number Of Dark”, but sadly encountered technical problems

Abi Carter faced a technical issue for her very first post- American Idol concert, but it was eventually resolved.

Abi recently announced her first concert No Amount Of Dark, which is scheduled for July 27 in Palm Desert, California, at the Acrisure Arena. Unfortunately, there was some sort of technical issue when the pre-sale tickets were made available, and fans couldn’t secure their seats at first. Abi took to her Instagram Stories to acknowledge the situation and lightheartedly said to her fans, “You all broke Ticketmaster!!!” Fortunately, the issue was eventually resolved. After the pre-sale period, tickets to the general public will be available starting on Friday, June 28.

Is Abi Carter Using First Concert To Test Out A Possible Tour?

Contestants Can’t Rely On American Idol Tours Anymore

For now, it appears that No Amount Of Dark is a one-off concert for Abi. However, she might be doing this on purpose to test out the popularity of the show before expanding with a full tour across the country. If she had competed on American Idol during most of the FOX era (and the first year of the ABC era), she would have been guaranteed a national U.S. tour with her fellow American Idol season 22 finalists.

However, as ratings for all TV shows, including Idol, went down, interest in the American Idols Live! Tour dwindled, and they were eventually canceled. These summer concerts were a great way for the finalists to continue earning money after the season ended. In the early years of the American Idol tours, the contestants performed for sold-out arenas all over the United States and parts of Canada. American Idol season 14 was the final FOX season to feature a tour; it was briefly revived for American Idol season 16 before being canceled completely.
